“A country’s greatness lies in its undying ideals of love and sacrifice that inspire the mothers of the race.”- Sarojini Naidu

India marked its 77th Independence Day remembering the brave soldiers who sacrificed their life for the freedom of India. National Public School, ITPL celebrated this day of Unity and Patriotism with the theme of “Nation First, Always First…” This year’s Independence Day programme was an inspiring and unforgettable event, filled with moments of pride, reflection, and celebration as we believe in nurturing a strong sense of patriotism and instilling the values of freedom, unity, and respect for our nation’s heritage in our students.

The day began with the solemn and grand flag hoisting ceremony, led by the school Director-Principal, Dean, and Deputy Head followed by the singing of the national anthem by all students and staff. Next the students assembled in the auditorium to witness the cultural programme. Our talented students from Grades 3 to 11 showcased their artistic prowess through a series of dance performances that paid homage to the brave freedom fighters of India. A few students delivered heartfelt speeches that emphasized the significance of freedom to them. Students of Grades 8 to 11 rendered a mellifluous fusion of patriotic songs that was accompanied with the harmony of the guitars and pianos. The day culminated with the finale performance portraying the diversity of our vibrant nation. Let us remember that the essence of freedom lies not only in the past but in the responsibilities we bear toward shaping a better future for ourselves and generations to come.
