“The world has changed so fundamentally in the last few decades that the roles of learning and education in day-to-day living have also changed forever.”

In a fast-changing world, the conventional educational curriculum has to pave the way for a new kind of education and learning, thereby making Co-Curricular Activities a vital part of the core curriculum in schools to help hone the talents of young minds and give them an opportunity to develop their specialized skills. On July 7 and 8 various co-curricular activities were conducted for all the students spanning Grades I to VIII. The students participated with great enthusiasm and showcased their bubbling creativity and artistic flair. 

Grade I students took part in a Drawing Competition on the theme of ‘Nature/ Trees’.

Grade II learners showed their sculpting skills in Clay Modelling Competition on the theme of ‘Fruits/ Animals’.

 

Grades III to V: The pupils displayed their drawing talents in a Drawing Competition on the themes of Imaginary creatures, Seasons, and Harvest Festivals respectively. Their art pieces were mesmerizing and evocative of the colour and cultural richness that is associated with seasons and festivals. 

Grade VI to VIII: The sixth graders were tasked to create picturesque landscape sceneries, inspired by their travels. The seventh graders given the theme ‘Street Corner’, drew inspiration from streets and neighbourhoods around them to create works that was reflective of the lives of everyday people. Grade VIII students harnessed their imaginations, passions, and aspirations to bring about their visions of Bangalore in 50 years onto paper.
