“Field trips are an opportunity for one to enter into the world of mystical power”.
On a bright and sunny morning of 18 July 2023, the Grade 2 and 3 students from NPS ITPL, embarked on an exciting field trip to the magnificent Lalbagh Botanical Gardens. Bursting with enthusiasm and curiosity, the young explorers eagerly looked forward to a day of fun, learning, and adventure. As they stepped into the vast greenery, the children were greeted by a stunning array of colorful flowers, towering trees, and the sweet scent of nature. The seasoned guides at the gardens welcomed the kids warmly, ready to share their knowledge and passion for plants and biodiversity.
They learned about the life cycle of plants, the importance of pollination, and the diverse ecosystem within the gardens. Amidst the lush greenery, the children also got the opportunity to witness an array of beautiful butterflies, birds, and insects, sparking awe and wonder in their young hearts. The gardens became a playground for the students’ imagination, and they even took out their sketchbooks to capture the breathtaking beauty they encountered.
As the day came to a close, the students left Lalbagh with a newfound love for nature and a realization of the vital role plants play in sustaining life on Earth. It was a day filled with laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories, igniting a lifelong passion for botany and environmental conservation within these young minds.
