School elections are the training ground where young minds develop the leadership skills and democratic values needed to shape the future.
National Public School ITPL extended the vital platform to its students for developing leadership skills through the Student Council Election on the 5th of July. Enthusiasm pulsated across the campus as the students engaged in the election process to elect the promising nominated students.
The exposure for the nominated students added to their rigorous learning through extensive rounds of interviews, and campaigning in the days leading up to voting. This rich experience fostered critical thinking, public speaking, and decision-making abilities within them.
Articulating visions, persuading peers, and managing campaigns the essential leadership skills nurtured through the democratic process of school elections, transparency, accountability, and informed student participation were the highlights of the democratic learning atmosphere where the voter and candidate are empowered alike. Moreover, the election process leaves a democratic imprint on all the participants that leadership and learning are two sides of the same coin.
