World Braille Day

World Braille Day, observed annually on January 4th, commemorates the birth anniversary of Louis Braille, the visionary who transformed accessibility for the visually impaired with his innovative Braille system.

To commemorate this significant occasion, a special assembly was held on January 6, 2025, organized by the students of Grades 8C and 8D at National Public School, ITPL.

The assembly featured vibrant charts and creative props crafted by the students, emphasizing the importance of the day. Students eloquently explained how the Braille system has enhanced communication, education, and empowerment for the visually challenged.

A graceful dance performance conveyed emotions through rhythm and movement, while a compelling skit depicted the life of Louis Braille and the invention of the Braille system, vividly bringing his inspiring journey to life. The event was a heartfelt tribute to the enduring legacy of Louis Braille and his remarkable contributions to make an inclusive society.
