Grade VI focused on the theme of Empathy during the month of October. With an engaging session the concept was introduced to the students that encouraged them to reflect on real-life situations, discuss key terms related to the theme, at the same time explore and share examples from their own experiences in class.
Through interactive sessions and peer-to-peer learning, they learned how practicing empathy can positively impact both, themselves and the community.
The session concluded with the unanimous selection of an ‘Empathy Ambassador,’ reinforcing the importance of self-reflection, peer teaching, and thoughtful observation as essential elements for meaningful learning and the embodiment of empathy.
This experiential approach instills thought provoking questions and reflections in the learners.
