National Science Day - Grade I & II
The students of Grades I and II at NPS ITPL celebrated National Science Day on 26th February 2026 with a special assembly that highlighted the importance of ‘Science’ in everyday life and nurtured curiosity and scientific thinking.
The program opened with a lively skit in which students playfully demonstrated the properties of ‘Air’ through real-time experiments. The audience watched with fascination as the experiments unfolded, followed by clear explanations that deepened their understanding.
This was succeeded by an engaging riddle session, where students participated enthusiastically,
showcasing their excitement for learning. A cheerful jingle was then presented, subtly emphasizing the importance of keeping our air clean.
As part of the Science Day celebrations, students of Grades I and II engaged in exciting, hands- on activities unique to their classes. Grade I students joyfully crafted simple paper flyers using plastic straws and chart paper. The thrill of watching their creations soar outdoors turned ordinary materials into delightful flying objects, filling the atmosphere with cheer. Meanwhile, Grade II students conducted fascinating experiments to explore additional properties of air. They were captivated as the experiments unfolded before their eyes, leaving them spellbound by the wonders of Science.
Through these activities and experiments the students of Grades I & II, embraced the spirit of Science through exploration and questioning. Their journey culminated in a thoughtful and meaningful experience by carrying forward the spark of curiosity and innovation.
