HAPPY ONAM

The Pre-primary students of National Public School, ITPL had an amazing time celebrating Onam on the 17th of September. Our young learners wholeheartedly embraced the vibrant spirit of this beautiful harvest festival from Kerala.

The KG 1 ‘C’ students presented a special assembly which began by highlighting the significance and importance of Onam. They performed a joyful dance to traditional Onam tunes, dressed in the traditional off-white Onam attire, spreading happiness all around.

The students were fascinated by the story of King Mahabali and the cultural significance of Onam, as they learned about this ancient tradition from Kerala. The celebration also included a unique integration of the Venetian Regatta Gondola with Onam, drawing attention to the similarities between both festivals.

Additionally, the students showcased their creativity by working together to create colorful Pookalam designs, adding a vibrant touch to the festivities.
