Grade 6 C and 6D students of NPS-ITPL organized a heart-warming Special Assembly on National Farmers Day on January 8, 2024 commemorating and honouring the diligent farmers of our nation. The assembly highlighted the history, environment and economy of farming in honour of National Farmers Day which is celebrated every year on December 23. It offered a profound insight into the myriad challenges faced by farmers encompassing issues like low prices, debt, climate change and insufficient infrastructure.
Students expressed the delight and affinity of the farmers towards their crops and nature through a mime and a dance performance. The assembly emphasized sustainable practices and the collective responsibility of supporting our farming communities, expressing gratitude and pride towards these essential and predominant contributors to our nation’s well-being.
