National Voters Day
Be the change you wish to see in the world, and that change begins with a single vote.
National Public School ITPL grade IX students presented a special focus on the National Voters Day which is celebrated every year on January 25th.With a view to create awareness and simultaneously encourage Indian citizens, especially the youth, to participate in the democratic process, the students presented an enlightening assembly, embedding the foundation of the Election Commission of India in 1950. The theme streamed valuable content around, “Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure,” emphasizing the value of every single vote.
The day aimed to promote electoral awareness, encourage active participation in the democratic process, and honor voters of today and the coming years. It was a reminder to one and all present that voting is not just a right but also a responsibility. By casting their votes, citizens contribute to the progress and development of their country.
Celebrating the National Voters Day at schools definitely goes a long way in raising awareness about the electoral process and the duties and rights that accompany it.
