NPS – MUN 2024

National Public School ITPL launched its first intra-school Model United Nations (MUN) on November 11, 2024. 

The Academic Dean, Ms. Charulatha Prakaash inaugurated the event, setting the stage for students to assume roles as country delegates, equipped with extensive research on global issues to engage in debates, negotiations, and resolution drafting.
Students represented the UN Security Council (UNSC), tackling security topics such as conflicts, sanctions, and peacekeeping, while the International Press Corps (IPC) took on media roles, reporting, writing articles, and conducting interviews to highlight the media’s impact on public opinion and international discourse.
Experienced session chairs, who excelled in previous MUN festivals, led the event independently, fostering skills in diplomacy, public speaking, and critical thinking. Guided by the 4 C’s—Confidence, Critical Thinking, Collaboration, and Conflict Resolution—the two-day simulation enriched their global awareness and leadership abilities.
The maiden MUN ignited a promising foundation for future inter-school events, inspiring tomorrow’s leaders.
