World Environment Day 2026 - Grade 11
Visited to GKVK for Environment Day Celebration
To commemorate World Environment Day 2026 the students of Grade 11 visited the Department of Forestry and Environmental Science,
University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK, Bengaluru. The students visited select research and demonstration units of the University, like the Botanical Garden, Medicinal and Aromatic Plant Garden, Integrated Farming System Unit, Biochar Production Unit, Madhuvana, Biofuel Unit, Hydroponics Unit, and other facilities.
This special programme provided a valuable experiential learning opportunity and helped foster environmental stewardship among the students by promoting awareness on the themes of biodiversity conservation, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, climate resilience, and natural resource management.
