2What is the admission process?
a. Parents seeking admission to NPS-ITPL are requested to login to our website admissions.npsitpl.com.
b. Registration has to be completed by providing the mobile number, e-mail ID and verification process.
c. Application Form link will be sent to your registered e-mail id. Kindly click on the link and submit the application form online with required details.
d. After the application form is submitted, a confirmation letter for the entrance test will be sent to your registered mail.
e. The entrance test will be conducted at school campus
f. Based on the entrance test result, the admission’s team will organize meeting with our Academic Team for the student and parent (the meeting could be virtual or in person).
g. After this meeting the final admission status will be confirmed for your ward.
3What is the process for the entrance test?
a. Nursery to Grade I - The student will have to attend a verbal interaction with the grade teachers at the school campus.
b. For Grades II to IX - The student will have to complete a grade–appropriate written entrance test.
c.For Grade XI – The student will have to complete a written exam and personal interaction at the school campus. The grade X term one marks have to be submitted to the school before the entrance test.
4What would be the academic content for the entrance test?
a. Nursery to Grade I - Age-appropriate assessment based on perceptual, communication, motor, and analytical skills.
b. For Grades II - The content from English, Math, and EVS would be covered.
c. For Grades III to IX - The content of English, Math, Science and chosen second language from the grade student is presently studying.
d. For Grade XI -The entrance test would be conducted in English, Mathematics and General Science.
5What is the time-line for the parent to receive admission confirmation from the school?
a. Pre-primary – Grade VIII - If your ward is selected, the admission confirmation mail will be shared within a fortnight on completion of the entrance test and academic interaction.
b. For Grade XI – The marks of the entrance test along with the X grade first term results will be considered for admission.
6What are the various pre-primary programs followed at NPS ITPL?
a.Kindergarten - Education techniques are designed to cater to the student’s required life skills and cognitive development. The best of various educational approaches like Waldorf Education, Reggio Emilia, Glenn Doman techniques to name a few are followed.
b.Montessori Method - Montessori Method was developed by Dr. Maria Montessori based on the age-appropriate observations and life skill development of individual child. The various subjects are taught with scientifically designed materials to enhance holistic education.
7How many years is the Kindergarten programme?
Kindergarten is a three-year programme Nursery, LKG (K-I) and UKG (K-II).
8What would be the age criteria for admission to Nursery to Grade I?
a. Nursery - The student’s age as on 31st May 2024 should be between 3 years to 4 years.
b. KG-I - The student’s age as on 31st May 2024 should be between 4 years to 5 years.
c. KG-II - The student’s age as on 31st May 2024 should be between 5 years to 6 years.
d. Grade I- The student’s age as on 31st May 2024 should be between 6 years to 7 years.
9What are the timings of the school?
a. Kindergarten - 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
b. Grade 1 and above - 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
10How many students are there in a class?
a. Pre-primary - 28-30 students (with two teachers)
b. Primary - 30-32 students
c. Secondary - 32-35 students.
d. Senior Secondary – 35-38 students
11Which Co - Scholastic activities are conducted in the school?
a. The co-scholastic activities are part of the daily timetable.
b. Physical Education, Sports, Music, Dance, Public Speaking, Art and crafts, Clubs, Special Assembly are few of the activities conducted in the school.
12What is the second language policy of the school?
a.The school offers Hindi/Kannada as second language.
As per National Education Plan (NEP), learning Kannada language is mandatory.
b.Grade I – Both Hindi and Kannada language will be mandatory.
c.Grades II-IV - Both Hindi and Kannada language will be mandatory, with a variation
-If the student’s chosen second language is Hindi, he/she will learn Hindi at Grade second language level and Kannada at **Beginner level.
-If the student’s chosen second language is Kannada, he/she will learn Kannada at Grade second language level and Hindi at **Beginner level.
NOTE - **For the students who have not studied the language earlier.
d.Grade V-VIII - The third language would be introduced from Grade V.
- If second language chosen is Kannada/Hindi, then Hindi/Kannada would be the third language option, which will be taught at Beginner level.
13Are the textbooks and notebooks provided by the school?
a.The textbooks and notebooks will be provided by the school.
b.The details of the books will be updated on the school parent portal and the website.
14How should the notebooks and textbooks be covered?
a. For KG I, KG II, Grades I-II
-Notebooks need not to be covered.
- Textbooks must be covered with plain brown sheet.
- Stick labels on the top right-hand corner of the textbook.
- Mention the name of the student and class on the label. The section and the subject will be entered later.
b. For Grades III – XII
- Notebooks need not to be covered.
- Textbooks must be covered with plain brown sheet.
- Refrain from using fancy labels.

- No sports shoe for Kindergarten.

- Boys and Girls: Bata white shoes with Velcro with sports uniform.
16How are the fees to be paid?

19Is non vegetarian food allowed in the school?
Any Kind of Non Vegetarian food including eggs are strictly not allowed inside the school campus.
