Field trips are necessary because they enable the learner to transfer knowledge gained in class to the real world. On Friday, 21 July 2023 Grade XI students had the unique opportunity to embark on a thrilling visit to Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.
Learners of the Science stream gain scientific literacy and can apply science taught in the classroom to daily life. Our students had an opportunity to visit the Institute and go around the campus to explore the exciting science and technology initiatives. The professor from the Department of Biological sciences had an interactive session with our students and explained the students’ prospects and ways to apply to join Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.
PCMB students visited the Department of Microbiology and Cell biology and PCMC students visited the Department of Chemical sciences. The Ph.D scholars of these departments took the initiative and explained the working of multiple instruments. The field trip concluded on a positive learning note with the pupils taking home a treasure trove of new information and memories.
